The first graders at Olson Elementary planted their tulip bulbs on Tuesday, October 20,2009. We chose a new spot to plant that can be seen from the road and from the school. It is near some evergreen trees. We can see them out the first grade reading nook! Teachers and parents prepared the soil before we went out to plant. Kids each got a bulb to plant. We planted 100 tulip bulbs. We had a nice warm day to plant. It was one of the warmest days this month! It was around 60 degrees. It has been in the 40's and will turn cold again later this week. Perfect bulb planting weather. It is rain tomorrow, so the bulbs will get a good shower.
