Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/19/2009

Number: 1

Finally getting rain in TX after a LONG dry spell. Milkweed is up again in some places (some trees confused & blooming too). My car just would not pass by without stopping to look for eggs/caterpillars along a favorite country road. Located two tiny caterpillars on one plant. Satisfaction!

Also, while driving in northern in San Antonio, have been seeing a few lone butterflies heading south---four or five on Thursday. Yet another beauty of fall!
