AMAZING MIGRATION DAY!!!

Monarchs everywhere today!

Sightings of 3-5 monarchs per minute on and off through the afternoon. This is a lot for my area. They were flying very low through our neighborhood, along streets, over HWY. 290!
I ran up to check out the school garden and counted 20 in the butterfly garden all drinking nectar! I find it interesting that only one of the Monarchs we've tagged at that school is still with us after a week. All others we've tagged have not been spotted again after the day of tagging. The monarch we tagged that stayed was VERY faded at the time of tagging. I guess maybe he has gone as far south as he wants to.
It is a very pretty butterfly garden... if I do say so myself!
