SANDHILL CRANE SIGHTING: 0750 hrs, ground conditions partly cloudy, light NE wind. 2 groups: 1 of 8 and 1 of 12, flew over heading west-southwest. They had flown from the east, over the Organ/San Andres Mountains. How exciting to start the day with the honking sounds of these magnificent birds, gliding in straight-line and partial V formation.
