While camping @ Fort Pickens Park on Pensacola Beach, FL last weekend observed monarchs at rest in groups up to 30 to 50 at a time and were able to observe 5 to 10 flying during most daylight hours all weekend. I can email photos if this will be helpful. My observation time: I was watching for 6 hours.
