On Sunday, October 25th, 6 of my 4th Graders along with parents met bat the school and constructed a simpel raised flower bed. The kids did 905 of the work; joining the 4 boards together, moving it to a spot on a grassy area adjacent to the faculty parking lot, then proceeded to fill it in with soil. They now have ownership of their raised bed.
On Monday, October 26th, one class measured their bulds for weight and mass as well as length and circunference. After a picture was drawn, the students and I proceded outside to plant their bulbs.
A second class will do the same today. Now its time for Mother Nature to work her magic. Let the journey begin.
