Date: 10/27/2009

Number: 1

Took students on a field trip to Horicon Marsh, Thousands of Canada geese stop here on their trip south. Students hiked through the marsh making observations. Leaves are about 50% dropped. We have had a couple of colder nights lately. Did water quality testing and water quality in the marsh is good. Collected biotics, leech, planaria, hellgermite, mayfly larvae, redworms, garter snake, backswimmers... It was a beautiful day, 54 degrees F., sunny for the 1st day in a week, light breeze.
