Autumn has definitely settled in all around us, and will soon lead into winter. We had another 'killing' frost this morning, and the thermometer hit 20 degrees F. The birds coming to my feeders have been hitting the suet feeder heavily now, emptying it every two days. As I look out over the mountains to the South and East, very few leaves are left clinging on any of the trees. The skyline is bare and gray. We've had a black bear visiting our bird feeders on a regular basis for the past week or so. I'm sure she is getting ready for her long sleep.
