We planted our Red Emperor tulip bulbs in our school's secret garden. Each student planted his or her bulb 6-8 inches underground. Each student also put about 2 tablespoons of PermaTill to help protect the bulb from voles. The students were careful to place each bulb in the hole with the pointy end up.
