Signs of Fall

Date: 11/09/2009

Number: 1

Here in Greensboro, we have noticed lots of signs of fall over the last several weeks, even though our temperatures still feel warm at times (today's high will be in the 70s - Fahrenheit)! Students at GDS report the following signs of fall: acorns falling everywhere, damp grass, less daylight, falling leaves, some frost, cardinals at feeders, leaves changing color (beautiful), magnolias are going to seed, and more wind. We also notice cloudier skies. We will be planting tulips on Friday!
