Signs of Fall

Date: 11/12/2009

Number: 1

Today’s temperature is 68 degrees F. Today there is a slight breeze. We see cirrus and cumulus clouds and mostly blue sky. Hurricane Ida sent us two days of heavy rain. We think this blew off lots of the leaves. There are so many leaves that we can hear them making a crunch, crunch noise as we walk over them. The tulip poplars are bare. The maple is a brilliant red. The beech has brown and yellow leaves, but still has leaves. The hickory has golden brown leaves but most have fallen off. The dogwood has lost most of its leaves and berries. We saw several daddy long legs today. Some of us heard a crow. There have been lots of changes in the past two weeks!
