Hooray,
We planted our 50 Emperor Tulips just on the edge of our school property in beautiful downtown Kingston. Our tulips will announce spring to all who walk, run, bike and skateboard by our limestone school house. It was a beautiful sunny day.
We helped dig the hole and then each of the 22 Grade One/Two students planted 2 bulbs each. Fillng in the hole was fun. Mrs. Powers covered the bed with chicken wire to detract the squirrels from moving the bulbs across the street (that happened to her once).
We haven't had a lot of rain lately so we'll have to water soon.
