Today, the 3rd graders of St. Matthew School on Sneed Road planted 50 Red Emperor Tulip bulbs. Our flower bed was expertly prepared by Mr. Jim Charron. Our weather was cool (10 C) with a light misty rain. The students brought boots, shovels, and rain gear in order to be prepared for the weather. This is the second year that the students from the 3rd grade have participated in the project so they are eager to see how the tulips progress throughout the winter into spring. Everyone in the school will be waiting for the tulip plants' beautiful blooms.
