Tulips PLANTED

Date: 11/18/2009

Number: 1

It was muddy in our garden and there were big puddles. The soil was hard to rake because it has a lot of clay. We mixed in bags of topsoil and sprinkled bulb tone into the soil. We measured seven inches deep and planted the bulbs in ten separate plots in the same garden. Each bulb was four inches apart. We raked, hoed, dug, and weeded until the soil was soft. Then it rained again. Today it is very sunny and windy. We raked and pushed more soil into the garden to try to get rid of the puddles. We worked gently so we would not hurt anything. We planted 95 bulbs all together. We hope that they are safe and comfortable.
