It's November in Minnesota. On November 20, The air temperature was 52 degrees F and the soil temperature was 41. We even found a pigmented earthworm in one of the holes we dug. Each middle school student "adopted" and planted a tulip bulb. We covered the hole with chicken wire to prevent squirrels from eating the bulbs.
