The little rufous gave me quite a scare last night: when I brought in the feeders, after dark, he angrily buzzed me. I put one feeder back and left the deck light on for him. (A first for me.)
He roosted in a place where an akebia vine reaches under the eaves and changed position several times and even visited the feeder a couple of times and fed. When I checked on him early in the morning, he was preening. He left at dawn.
I was gone for much of the morning, but when I came back, there he was sipping from one of the feeders.
