Close to sunset (approx. 4:30 to 5:00 pm) I saw four or five LARGE flocks of robins collecting together in the tall trees in my neighborhood. I'm not sure if they're going north or coming south, but this is the earliest I've ever seen them! Sometimes I'll see the first ones around the beginning of Feb, but I'm wondering if they know if this winter is going to be warmer than usual? It was truly amazing seeing them all lift off together...there must have been at least a thousand total.
