Tulips PLANTED

Date: 12/04/2009

Number: 1

We went outside and dug up the dirt. After that we started planting the red tulips. We saw a couple of worms which I thought was disgusting. Before we started planting, we found some other tulips that people planted. Before we put the bulbs into the ground, we crushed the dirt a little to make it soft so when the tulips grow they will be able to grow through the dirt. At the end of the day we were happy and relieved.I planted my very first tulip outside of the school building. That was the most exciting thing that ever happened to me at school.Samantha
The project we worked on was planting red tulips. The first thing we did was we get our shovels and gloves. We started digging into the dirt. In the dirt I saw plants, grubs, and worms. My experience was exciting. This project was a fun activity and I learned how to plant. I predicted that the bulbs will start growing slowly and then at the end of the winter the red tulpis will fully develop. When the tulips are ready our school garden will look stunning!! Fairine
