We have had flocks of about 50 robins since mid December.
Our forests along the coastal plain in town here, are filled with wild Holly Trees, and the robins literally fill the trees as they eat the red berries. Yesterday, we had about 40 on the ground in our backyard, and today, we continue to see them within a 4 mile radius of our house, in the trees. At present we are having a snowstorm (2.5 inches thus far) they were also here for our recent blizzard of December 21 (18 inches of snow). This is yearly. WE call them our Christmas robins. They are very big/ and usually stay til either end of January, or early Feb.
I am a member of the Audobon Society, and National Wildlife Soc. as well. Active birder.
