Tulips PLANTED

Date: 01/08/2010

Number: 1

Six third grade classes planted their tulips on Friday, January 8, 2010 at St. Andrew's School of Math and Science in Charleston, SC (USA). Science enrichment teacher, Ms. Livingston with third grade teachers, Ms. Cannon, Ms. Rambo, Ms. Tindal, Ms. Carpenter, Ms. Conroy, and Mr. Timari worked with 125 third graders and parent volunteers to prepare the garden soil and plant bulbs.

We planted 150 Red Emperor tulip bulbs in our "Magnet Park" outdoor area. The tulip bulbs were planted in two small gardens shaped as magnets. We had some broken cement sidewalk pieces around our school so we decided to "recycle" the old pieces and create borders for our two gardens. Our gardens look beautiful! We can't wait to see our tulips bloom!
