I was driving a US Coast Guard boat out San Juan Harbor to meet a ship, when me and my crew witnessed a adult humpback whale jumping out of the water. It was pretty amazing and was only probably a hundred yards off the port side of our boat. It appeared to be heading from east to west, hinging the north coast of Puerto Rico, about one to two miles off shore.
