I don't usually see robins on Long Island until March. It is my sign that spring is around the corner (as a teacher, that is VERY good news)! But I saw three on my lawn yesterday, the end of January. It happens to be warm right now and we had several inches of rain today, so that will help them get food by flushing out earthworms. I don't understand how they will eat if we have a snowstorm or cold snap! I have never seen robins this early, ever.
