After a several week cold snap, I put in my first two taps on the 15th. The sap was already flowing at that point (probably started on the 14th, judging by the daily high & low temps). The tree is about 28" DBH and is producing about a gallon per day, per tap, on average. Trying to take advantage of the "January thaw".
