Happy New Year to all! The Baltimore Oriole that showed up at our feeder yesterday continued here today. I went out on the Bowie CBC today and had a great day birding around a territory in the southern part of the circle. When I got home at about 3:30, I saw the oriole almost immediately - and to my surprise it was eating shelled (chipped) sunflowers. After it left, I also saw 2 Tree Sparrows at the same feeder. A Great start for our 2010 yard bird list!
