Bald Eagle

Date: 01/21/2010

Number: 1

Late afternoon, on the rondout reservoir Rt 55 Eureka pull off there is an Eagle's nest that's years going now. I spot the eagles often. they seem to stay all year cause the water stays opened there. Anyway this afternoon the one was there on the tree with the nest. The other from across the way flow down, grabbed some straw, grass what ever and flow up to the nest and arranged the stuff in the nest. The other perched on the branch above started to prime itself and sing/talk.... the one from the nest danced around from one branch to the other finally onto the same branch, and bingo I saw them mate...it was the most amazing thing. I have been to the pull off daily and have seen one perched on near by trees and sun 1/31st I saw the two perched in a near by tree. I nest is vissable from the pull off. I will keep you posted.
