I watched a robin in my apple tree on January 15 eating the apples I left on the tree in the Fall. Last year my first robin was seen on Valentine's Day, so this is one month earlier. I don't know if this bird wintered over or not, but I did not see any robins before 1/15/10. He has been back almost daily since then, enjoying my apples!
