Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/02/2010

Number: 1

Today for the first time, I saw robins. There was a wave of about 20 birds. Location = Ball State University campus, immediately south of Pettit Road, and west of the Bell Building that houses campus computing services.

The birds were in the bushes and trees of the university's landscaping against the fences of the immediate neighborhood. The birds also flew in and between the landscaping and bare trees of the neighborhood's back yards, against the university's boundary.

Sunday 31 January 2010, someone in the community reported in conversation that they had seen a wave of Robins in the Muncie Indiana area on the weekend.

So we may hypothesize the birds are migrating through in waves, this year around the end of January. Air temperature today is 37 degrees Fahrenheit.
