In my yard I observed and I am still observing a "wave" of robin's. I would estimate 75+ robin's in number on the ground foraging and perching in the surrounding trees. They are picking up dead leaves with their beaks, shoving them aside and picking through the dirt. I did not observe them pluck any worms from the ground. I was observing them from as close as 4 feet from a window. I observed brightly orange-breasted/black-backed and head robin's as well as duller orange-breasted robin's with white underbellies.
