Upon waking in the morning, I heard the distinct call of a robin. I sprung out of bed and was able to locate it in the Japanese holly out back, where the squirrels and chipmunks had left it a few berries. It was warmish that day but the following day temps didn't exceed the low 20's, and I still had the robin, who was keenly interested in my birdbath once I'd thawed the water.
