Heard my beautiful male cardinal, Pretty Boy, singing softly from somewhere within the depths of the Japanese holly on the back patio. This is the first I've heard his spring song this year, which was really a thrill, considering temps were only in the low 20's and snow was (and still is) in the forecast.
