A spectacular adult male Rufous Hummingbird paid a visit to the sugar water
feeder this Valentine's Day. What's more, a pair of Violet-crowned
Hummingbirds has returned to my yard after nearly a three-month absence.

Although the calendar offers reminder that winter remains, signs of spring
are clearly evident here in the Mule Mountains.
