Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/13/2010

Number: 1

Literally, hundreds of plump, noisy robins descended on our snow-covered rooftops and surrounding trees Saturday morning. They pecked away at shingles that were wet with melted snow, and perched on gutters, apparently to sip water. They seemed to avoid the snow-covered grounds. Sunday morning, our cars were covered -- bumper to bumper -- with their droppings. Several of our neighbors, along with us, were out there trying to cope with this mess. Ditto Monday morning. Today, with snow falling, we don't see them around...as yet.
