I grow milkweed around my house. It is mostly dormant now, but some folage exests throughout the winter. I have had probably 30 Monarch catipillers on these plants. Most are in cocoons or have hatched now. Sometimes I have 2 and even 3 butterflies coming out of cocoons in a day. The rain we have had has not effected these animals in any of their stages.
