At about 9:30 am this morning we observed 2 or 3 Right Whales about 200 yards off the Beach. Now it's 10:37 and I count 4 Right Whales. The have seperated a bit from one another so it is clear to see at least four, calves can not be confirmed. Tide is changing and the back water seems to be coming from the inlet now and the Whales have seperated a bit and they have moved further off the beach to about 350 yards from shore. They have been pretty stationary for the past hour and a half or so.
My fiance says she believes she has seen one calf.

Can definately determine the are Right Whales with their white patches and huge heads.....but I am no expert. We definately fel privledged to have seen and continue to watch these rare ladies (assume all females due to males don't migrate with the females from what I know). Hope this helps and I'm certain you will get additional sightings because the entire beach is stopping to see and take pictures....sorry no camera today.
