I kept hearing a very loud sound in the air,I knew it was a large group of birds. The sound was very distinct, they were whooping cranes. I saw several large groups, 4 groups with approx 6-8 each flying in formation, and then two very large groups/clumps flying around almost as if they were waiting for the cranes that were flying in formation to catch up. The two groups/clumps had a very large number,was unable to count but would say 25-45 cranes total.
