With the bitterly cold temperatures and heavy snow, we were very surprised to find some of our bulbs already starting to emerge. We're a little worried about the outcome, however, as the tips now appear very rough and dry--not at all like our previous years' garden. We don't know if something is starting to nibble or just what is happening. We'll have to wait and see how many actually bloom.
