The eagles are back in large numbers along the Illinois River near Peoria. Any day, from dawn to dusk, you can see bald eagles perched in river bank trees. Not just one or two, but average 3 - 5 in 8 different places near Peoria along the river. They have been soaring around for about 5 weeks now. So, if you want to enjoy eagles without all the crowds as near Alton, follow the Illinois River, especially from Havana to Henry. THE EAGLES WILL BE THERE!
