Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 02/26/2010

Number: 1

Arriving home from work at 5:40 pm the night after a heavy snowstorm, I heard a robin "whinny" nearby but could not see it. If it hadn't been for the huge mounds of snow all around I would have tracked it immediately. After setting down my things in the house I saw a group of birds high in a tree farther down the street, but could not identify if robins. Just then the wind picked up, the sky darkened and it started to snow again. Then the birds flew off, away from the incoming storm. Spring may soon be here, though, as this is the earliest I have heard them in Central New York!
