Counts on 12/30 were done during or just after drizzle. Conditions on 12/31 were cold with few clouds. Not many butterflies were found on the ground. The butterflies at all sites are clustering more densely and in fewer clusters. Pismo has the majority of the bflies clustering on the cypress in very dense, large clusters and on several eucalyptus trees. The next counts will be early next week.
