The warm weather had a clear effect on the monarch clusters last week. Pismo, Oceano and Pecho Rd. were the only sites with clusters, all rest were flying & sunning even shortly after sunrise. Pismo's clusters have been primarily on the flowering branches of the eucalyptuses in the sun. Several matings were observed last week and almost no dead monarchs found. The monarchs are now leaving very quickly.
