All Other Signs of Spring

Today was the first day for a 55 degree temperature at 1:00 p.m.
The evening temperature is down to 24 degrees. This is perfect weather for a maple sap run and will continue until April or when the buds appear on the trees. The snow cover is just about melted away. although it is still possible for a snow of any depth. A cottontail rabbit has just entered my yard and found something that was perfect for eating. It seems delighted to be able to have a green meal. We have a over-wintering Cardinal pair which enjoys what ever is under the fallen leaves.
