Tulips BLOOMED

Date: 03/08/2010

Number: 1

We were so excited when we came to school and found our first bloom on Monday, March 8, 2010! It took 42 more days from the first emerged tulip to bloom.

The tulip plant is about 6" or 16 cm tall from the ground to the top of the bloom. The bloom has a diameter of 4" or 11 cm wide. The high temperature for March 8, 2010 was 70 degrees F or 22 degrees C and the weather was sunny. We had planted a total of 150 bulbs, and only 99 bulbs emerged out of the soil as of March 8, 2010.

We can't wait to see more blooms! We love our tulip garden. Spring is here!
