Hummingbird, Rufous (FIRST)

Date: 03/04/2010

Number: 1

Today, shortly before 4:00 PM I
walked by them and heard a sharper humming sound than usual and was very
surprised to see a male Rufous on one of the feeders. Not long afterward
another male Rufous showed up and the first battle of the year began.
Pretty cool winter sighting for us. We¹re about seven miles SE of Port
Townsend and about 140 feet above Discovery Bay.
