I saw a huge wave of about 50 robins this evening. They were scattered across a high meadow, struggling against the north wind. They were so skittish they wouldn't hold still. As we approached they scattered off to the nearest tree where the looked like decorative ornaments. I wonder if they moved into the region over the weekend with our high temperatures of 50 degrees.
