I was on my balcony, sitting under my hummingbird feeder. Suddenly to my surprise a most gorgeous magenta headed hummingbird fly up to glance at me. It was brilliantly magenta, the sunlight was hitting it. The whole head was magenta.
I live within the riparian habitat in an apartment building by the American River. Which is also next to the confluences of the Sacramento and American Rivers. The only thing separating us from the rivers is a park called the Discovery Park.
