Today I noticed a sign of spring that might not be reported as frequently as "leaf out". Before our live oak trees produce leaves, they produce flowers. Before they produce flowers, they drop their leaves from the previous year. So it is 'fall' at my house...I have to rake these leaves every SPRING! I wonder... Do you have the same event happening to any deciduous trees that stay green in the winter in your part of the country?
