1st sighting of a robin since november 09. while driving (1/4 mi. from here) seen one fly to tree along road then saw a single euro starlingdo the same thing 10 feet away. later, at dinner, my daughter mentioned that she had seen one across the street. yeah, were coming off the 3rd snowiest winter here since the 1880s @ 78+ inches. (82.0 the record) feb was the snowiest month ever here at 48" (old rec @25+"). snow pack is at 9", lots of margins, and south facing hills hardly any snow. again this year the 1st sighting coincides with the recent change in weather the daily mean is predicted above 40 deg. for the next 2 weeks.
