i guess the disappearing (slowly) of 33" of snow over the last several weeks and the moderate (balmy) forcast for the next two weeks led me to get my garden going since the earth there is in perfect condition (faces south along house wall). thats where i saw 5-8 worms while turning soil 8" deep with a spade shovel. i usually wait til st. patties day but conditions are perfect. sugar peas, lettuce, radish, chard n spinach seeds are in!!!
