Sunday morning we were greeted with the first robin song and saw the singer hopping over the melting snowbanks. Male bluebirds battled up in the willow, literally tumbling through the branches as they pounced fiercely at each other. A red wing blackbird swayed at the willows top proclaiming the offical arrival of spring! Out in the soybean filed, a few killdeer scurried about. Evidently they all traveled together!
