Today, 1 tulip's red petals were unspiraled enough to look into the inside of the tulip. On Sunday I had noticed about 4 cm of red petal above the green leaves but the red petals were tightly closed. A seoond tulip out of 31 tulip bulbs planted is showing red petals. A few tulips are just emerging! We continue to have several days of rain a week with cold temperatures. On Monday late afternoon, it hailed! Today was bright, sunny, with a cold light wind.
